HARRY CRADDOCK IS PERHAPS THE 20TH CENTURY'S GREATEST BARMAN, WHO LEFT THE STATES DURING PROHIBITION IN 1926, TO TAKE UP THE POST AS HEAD BARTENDER IN THE AMERICAN BAR AT THE SAVOY, LONDON. DURING THE HEADY JAZZ DAYS OF THE 1920's AND 30's HE CRATED OVER 240 COCKTAILS INCLUDING SOME OF THE CLASSICS LIKE THE OLD FASHIONED, THE CORPSE REVIVER #2 AND THE WHITE LADY. HE EVEN CAME UP WITH 3 NEW COCKTAILS FOR A JOURNALIST IN ONE DAY. THERE IS NO GREATER COCKTAIL BARMAN AND NO GREATER COCKTAIL BOOK.
