A rare 1950s adjustable enamel and brass wall light "Diablo" by Rene Mathieu

A rare orignal 1950s adjustable enamel and brass wall light  "Diablo" by Rene Mathieu for Maison Lunel. With rare orignal yellow and turquoise colour way shade, each with small star shaped perforations around the rims. The shade is supported on a black enamel and brass articulated arm which swings at the wall fixing point as well as bending in the centre and the shade is also articulated on a brass ball socket, so is can be angled. Re wired with new fittings and PAT tested.

A lovely orignal mid century adjustable light in good original condition. The shade could be re-sprayed if you wanted a newer look, but the colours are so in keeping with the design and the brass patina is lovely too. It attaches to the wall with the orignal bracket that is removed/fixed with an allen key.
